We are proud supporters of many different museums, music programs and art institutes throughout the Los Angeles area. One of our favorite places is the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena. They have a world-class private collection, and there is so much to see and explore throughout the museum and its beautiful garden grounds.

Picasso Ingres: Face to Face
Through January 30, 2023

Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres was one of Pablo Picasso’s greatest influences. One of the French artist’s great masterpieces, Madame Moitessier (1856), was the inspiration behind Picasso’s Woman with a Book (1932). This exhibition explores Ingres’ influence on Picasso and features works from both artists in partnership with The National Gallery in London. Learn more.

Ink, Paper, Stone: Six Women Artists and the Language of Lithography
Through February 13, 2023

This incredible exhibition features the work of six incredible female lithography artists from all over the world: Ruth Asawa, Gego, Eleanore Mikus, Louise Nevelson, Irene Siegle and Hedda Sterne. Each one has taken a unique approach to this often-underappreciated art form. This installation features works from each artist, along with their fascinating stories of artistic exploration. Saint Sebastian: Anatomy of a Sculpture
February 10 – July 3, 2023

Not much is known about this 15th Century Italian-painted sculpture of St. Sebastian. Art historians continue to study its origins and the religious significance of the piece. This exhibition offers an in-depth look into the provenance of this object and shares potential insight into its historical context. Learn more.

All Consuming: Art and Essence of Food
April 14 – August 14, 2023

This exhibition will take place at the Norton Simon during the spring and summer months. Food and drink culture has such a strong place in classic European art from 1500 to 1900. This installation showcases many works and highlights the relevance of food in art from this time period. Learn more.

Paul Gauguin’s ‘The Swineherd,’ 1888
Through November 13, 2023

Gauguin’s masterpiece is on loan from LACMA and on display at the Norton Simon until later this year. If you haven’t had a chance to see this classic 19th Century oil-on-canvas piece, now is the time to plan your visit. It was one of the earliest purchases by Norton Simon and one of the most significant pieces in his collection. Learn more.
