Stephen Sondheim is one of America’s most renowned composers and lyricists. He is responsible for some of the best musicals of the past century. We are passionate about music and arts, which is why we support the Pasadena Playhouse as members. This season, they are honoring the classic works of Sondheim in their annual Celebration Series.

Sunday in the Park with George

February 14 – March 19, 2023

This incredible musical is one of Sondheim’s most innovative creations, yet is hasn’t been performed often in the Los Angeles area. The Pasadena Playhouse is bringing it to life with a full-scale production directed by Sarna Lapine. Learn more.

A Little Night Music

April 25 – May 21, 2023

This year represents the 50th anniversary of this Sondheim treasure. The Playhouse is presenting the musical in its full, original production. It will be directed by David Lee and feature an amazing orchestral performance led by Jonathan Tunick. This is a truly breathtaking Broadway score that deserves to be heard with a live orchestra. Bernadette Peters in Concert
Pasadena Civic Auditorium
June 10-11, 2023

Only Bernadette Peters could pull off such an amazing collection of songs from her incredible Broadway career. Selections will feature works from Sondheim, as well as favorite tracks from her many Grammy Award winning/nominated albums. This is a special event that will be included with the Celebration Series and hosted at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium to accommodate larger crowds. Learn more.
