On May 3-5, the La Cienega Design Quarter hosted its first post-pandemic LEGENDS event. This major summit for designers was on hiatus for two years because of Covid. The event returned to Los Angeles again in 2022 and brought together designers and influencers from all over the world.

About LCDQ

The La Cienega district has been known as one of the epicenters of home design for more than half a century. This part of Los Angeles is the city’s premier location for shopping, interior design firms and businesses. La Cienega is home to some of LA’s most highly regarded restaurants and boutiques, with both worldwide brands and local artisans represented. The La Cienega Design Quarter (LCDQ) was founded in 2008 as a nonprofit organization to support the district and residential designers across the globe.

LEGENDS 2022

Their LEGENDS 2022 event was held in early May and brought together hundreds of people in the design industry. Registrants traveled from as far as Berlin and London to attend the conference, including 50 featured editors, architects, designers and influencers. On display were 40 luxury showrooms and 21 specially crafted window vignettes. The event included cocktail parties, keynote panels and interactive discussions on all issues relating to residential design. Architecture, interior design, sustainability and other topics were all on the menu.

Some of the highlight experiences included a “What’s Your Aura” interactive experienced presented by Benjamin Moore, as well as new home collections introduced by leading brands like Parachute and Constantino.

A Celebration of California Design

This year’s theme was “California: The Golden State of Design.” Many California designers and artists were on hand from everywhere in the state to gather in Los Angeles. This is one of the design capitals of the world and the LCDQ LEGENDS event is one of the best in the industry. We were so glad to see it return this year after two years away. We cannot wait to see what they have planned for next year’s event!
